DNAS Dental Assisting

A winning smile

Even in a competetive job market, some dentists will only hire Georgian dental assisting grads. You'll be learning skills in supervised practice in Georgian's on-site, fully equipped dental clinic. The low student-teacher ratio of 1:10 means you'll get lots of "real world" experience. The teaching lab operates as private practice model and is open to the public.

What's Special

The program has a long history, receiving accreditation with the Commission on Dental Accreditation of Canada in the late 1970s. You can take the National exams with confidence as Georgian grads have a 99 percent success rate. In addition to the excellent program on campus, Georgian students have the opportunity to participate in a week-long placement at the University of Toronto to work on advanced skills with dental students at the faculty of Dentistry.

Careers

Your time in this one year certificate program will include lots of practical experience through weekly labs and end in a full-time 4-week placement prior to graduation. You'll be well prepared to begin your career right after graduating as Georgian grads enjoy a 100 percent employment rate.
