What's Special
This is a Transport Canada approved program.
Careers
It is generally recognized by the shipping companies that cadet training attracts and produces the kind of people required to operate today's ships. Accordingly the graduate placement record continues to be one of the best in the province. The longer term prospects for well-trained marine engineers are almost unequalled as there is a critical shortage of qualified engineers at the higher certificate levels both nationally and internationally. Also, the pay levels - while appropriate to the responsibilities and conditions involved - are much higher than in most shore-based industries.
