PARA Paramedic
First response
Paramedics are engaged in one of the fastest growing and most important professions in modern health care. Being able to provide quality medical care from "fast response" teams greatly improves the situation for patients in need of immediate help. The old practice of simply using ambulances to transport patients to hospital before treatment begins is being replaced with a model that sees paramedics playing an active role as part of a health care team, rendering medical assistance at first contact with a patient in need.
About the program
Georgian's program is delivered in two years, four semesters and includes 126 hours of supervised hospital clinical and 434 hours of field placement with an Ambulance Service in the region.
