Graduates of this in-depth two-year program will play an integral role in operating and troubleshooting energy components in industrial or electrical power plants or commercial buildings. The opportunities are plentiful with careers available not only in Ontario but all around the world.

About the Program

Students gain experience through studying subjects that follow the Standardized Power Engineers Examination Committee (SOPEEC) syllabus, which prepares students to write the Technical Standards and Safety Authority (TSSA) examinations for fourth and third class certification after two years as an operator. Students also benefit from mandatory co-op experience and class time in a state-of-the-art power systems control room simulator.
